Better day by day

ShareThis

I had a hiking accident Oct 15/2011 I fell down a rock face, I had stitches to the laceration on left side of my head, x-rays and CT scan. Results were skull fractures, left rear orbital socket fractured and along left temple and side of head. CT scans revealed bruising of brain and blood pooling and hematoma on my right Temporal Lobe. Was in hospital 9 days. That was 30 days ago. I am getting massage therapy, chiro, doing theraputic yoga twice a week ( highly recomend this).  I am regaining my strength, and working to diminish positional vertigo, speech and memory issues. Lots of frustration and limits, but staying positve is key. Pace, and rest is what works for me. Happy to talk to others. I documented ( with much cursing at the laptop due to my challenges/limitations) much of my progress to date, and made a Excel sheet to score my symptoms. I found this very helpfull.

Hope everyone is staying positve, has good support and sets gaols.

Cheers,

Shaun
