Northern Brain Injury Association (NBIA)
The Northern Brain Injury Association has been implemented to bring brain injury prevention, education, awareness and support to the northern rural and remote communities of British Columbia. We connect survivors living in these areas to services close to home and often connect them to peers via teleconference. We work with community to reduce the incidence of acquired brain injury through community workshops, school presentations and public service announcements. In addition, where support group services are not available, NBIA will offer facilitated support groups for community survivors.
our groups meet at various times; please see the website for more details www.nbia.ca
