Have you or a loved one been affected by stroke? Do you experience cognitive difficulties such as poor short-term memory, trouble with problem solving, or difficulty planning, organizing and starting or completing tasks? Have you had trouble finding solutions that actually help with these symptoms? If so, we would like to invite you to join us at the Watson Centre Society for Brain Health for an interactive information session about our unique four-pillar cognitive rehabilitation program and how it can improve your quality of life after a stroke.
This session will cover what happens to the brain after a stroke and how neuroplasticity is applied to promote stroke recovery. You will also learn about the benefits of including physical and cognitive exercise, as well as meditation in your rehabilitation plan. Finally, you will have the opportunity to try out one of our cognitive activities!
We currently have opportunities for participation in half-day and part time programs, as well as opportunities to participate in research.
