In search of a supportive, resourceful group to help you navigate your concussion or brain injury recovery? This is the group for you. Our Community Resource Drop-in group aims to provide a positive, growth-mindset environment. We believe that your recovery can advance when you have the resources, motivation, self-compassion and mindset that change is possible.
Who can attend? Anyone independent in the community, ages 18+, with a concussion, ABI or TBI, no matter how long ago your injury occurred. This group is not restricted to any health detachment area.
What to expect? Opportunities to share beneficial resources to help others have a smoother recovery, and a drop-in space to connect with other brain injury survivors. Friendly faces, resource sharing, tips and tricks. Information about the brain, neuroplasticity, beneficial activities, symptom management tips, etc.
Facilitation is by an experienced brain injury support group leader with lived experience of having a brain injury, and professional experience as a social worker. Co-facilitation support is by an allied health professional with counselling, group facilitation and brain injury experience.
